Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Dulais Curtain Dry Cleaning (“we”, “our”, “us”). By using our services or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by the following terms.
1. Definitions
“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our” – Dulais Curtain Dry Cleaning.
“Customer”, “you”, “your” – The individual or business placing an order with us.
“Items” – Curtains, blinds, soft furnishings, and any textiles provided for cleaning.
“Services” – Curtain cleaning, dry cleaning, stain removal, repairs, collection and delivery, and related services.
2. Contract Formation
2.1 By placing an order with us, you confirm acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
2.2 A contract is formed once we confirm your order via email, telephone, or in writing.
2.3 We reserve the right to refuse any order at our discretion.
3. Collection and Delivery
3.1 We will make reasonable efforts to collect and deliver items at the agreed time.
3.2 Delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control (traffic, weather, technical issues).
3.3 If you are not available at the agreed time, a re-delivery or no-show fee may apply.
3.4 Collection and delivery services are only available within designated service areas.
4. Curtain Cleaning Process & Shrinkage Disclaimer
4.1 Curtains may shrink during the cleaning process; this is normal and unavoidable.
4.2 Curtains can shrink by up to 2% after cleaning. This is within accepted industry standards.
4.3 We cannot be held responsible for any shrinkage of up to 2%, as this is considered normal within the curtain cleaning industry.
4.4 Greater shrinkage may occur due to:
• Ageing fabric
• Sun damage
• Weak or deteriorated stitching
• Incorrect lining or previous moisture exposure
We are not liable for shrinkage caused by these pre-existing conditions.
5. Condition of Items
5.1 We do not inspect for pre-existing damage (sun bleaching, loose hems, fraying, tears, weakened fabric).
5.2 Cleaning can make existing wear or damage more visible.
5.3 We are not responsible for deterioration caused by inherent weaknesses or ageing fabrics.
6. Pricing and Payment
6.1 Prices are displayed on our website or provided on request.
6.2 We reserve the right to change prices at any time.
6.3 Payment must be made before or at delivery unless otherwise agreed.
6.4 Additional charges may apply for stain removal, specialist cleaning, repairs, or heavy soiling.
7. Stain Removal
7.1 We use professional products and cleaning techniques for stain removal.
7.2 We cannot guarantee the complete removal of any stain.
7.3 No refunds or compensation are offered for unsuccessful stain treatments.
8. Liability
8.1 Our liability for damage caused by proven negligence is limited to the cleaning charge of the affected item.
8.2 We are not liable for:
• Shrinkage within the 2% industry tolerance
• Structural weaknesses or ageing fabrics
• Damage caused by poor stitching or manufacturing defects
• Colour fade, texture changes, or de-lamination caused by cleaning
8.3 Claims must be made within 48 hours of delivery or collection.
9. Uncollected Items
9.1 Items not collected within 90 days may be disposed of or donated to charity.
9.2 Full payment remains due for all completed work, even if items are not collected or accepted.
10. Cancellations
10.1 Orders may be cancelled prior to collection, provided reasonable notice is given.
10.2 If cleaning has already begun, cancellation charges may apply.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to provide services due to events beyond our control (weather, accidents, strikes, transport issues, power failures, etc.).
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be handled exclusively by the courts of England and Wales.
13. Courier Responsibility
13.1 Curtain Dry Cleaning is not responsible for any lost, delayed, or damaged items while they are in the possession of any third-party courier or delivery service.
13.2 If you send items to us using a courier, responsibility remains with the courier until the items are delivered to our premises. Any claims, investigations, or compensation requests must be made directly to the courier.
13.3 If we return items using a courier, responsibility transfers to the courier at the moment your items are collected from our premises. We accept no liability for loss, delay, or damage once the courier has taken possession.
13.4 We may assist by providing tracking information or dispatch confirmation, but we are not responsible for managing or resolving courier-related issues.
